Villa Alba Farm is known for its hand-harvested coffee and the washed processing method applied at the mill of the Cooperativa Cafetera del Nororiente Colombiano. The production of this coffee is renowned not only for its exceptional flavor profile but also for the environmentally friendly practices implemented on the farm.

Once the cherry harvest is completed, the coffee undergoes fermentation for 8 hours, followed by depulping. The process is completed with an additional 8-hour fermentation. On the following day, the coffee is washed and then dried on raised beds for 2 to 3 weeks.

The coffee is cultivated in harmony with the local ecosystem, ensuring strict adherence to sustainability principles.

Brew guide

Filter: Medium grind, 1:15 ratio, 30–3:20 (min.) brew time

Espresso: Start at 1:2 ratio, 25–32 seconds, adjust to taste

Tip: For more caramel sweetness, grind a touch finer or extend the brew slightly. If it tastes too heavy, grind slightly coarser.

Processing at Villa Alba

Villa Alba is known for hand-harvested coffee and a careful washed process carried out at the Cooperativa Cafetera del Nororiente Colombiano mill. After harvest, the cherries ferment for 8 hours, followed by depulping and a second 8-hour fermentation. The next day, the coffee is washed, then dried on raised beds for 2–3 weeks.
